A beautiful place to visit, no problems with ants. Karen who works in the office was amazing, we had to stay over a couple of nights because of problem with our truck. Karen juggled things around to accommodate us. We will definitely be back!

Literally Spent Thousands Here And Have No Regrets Doing It As My Family Grows Such A Great Family Place. I Bring Everyone I Possibly Can Here Love It And You Will To. Been Coming Here For 4 Years And Many More To Come. Jus Clear Out Grassy Lakes They Suck And Get Better Biting Bass Or Restock Still Have Not Caught One In 4 Years.!!

ANTS, ANTS, ANTS!!! Within 24 hours you WILL have ants in your camper. Everyone around me told me they have them and that it is a huge problem here. I woke my second night here to find lines of teenie tiny ants on the walls of the dining area, the kitchen, the ceiling, & the bathroom. Now, 2 days later and $15 worth of products for the outside and inside, I am still fighting them. They are such a huge problem here that you get a printed handout about how to fight them when you check in. Pull back your sheets and you will have ants in your bed, too. This is the first and all only place I have ever experienced this. Upon inspection, the tree next to my site is full of ants and its branches hang over my new RV. All of my neighbors here have ants and say it is a constant problem because Santee Lakes does nothing about it. It is ashame because if it wasn't for the ants, I probably would enjoy this place.

Rented a floating cabin on the lake. Experience was awesome. Had our own paddle boat which we utilized throughout the day & evening. Very comfortable cabin inside. Small combined dining rm & living rm, small kitchen area, good size bath & bedroom. Has a queen bed, nitestand, closet & dresser drawers. Awesome size patio with BBQ grill (4 metal chairs and round picnic table) Remember to bring your own bedding, towels, hand towels with your food. Plan to rebook but have to wait til system opens up 6 mo. prior. NOTE: Wish checkout was later. 10am does NOT give a person enough time to enjoy the morning. Checking in after 3pm is later than I wished but oh well.

lakes has destroyed the view west and heavy machinery noise from bulldozers goes 7am to 5pm Monday-Saturday.
