We decided not to wait around for another delivery day seeing it's been 5 days and all our food has been in coolers and most have it has gone bad.
So I leave work early the next day to be there.... no one shows up. No one answers the phone lines, and I called repeatedly for hours.
I live out of state and needed a special item delivered to this store for Father's Day. Joel had personally went over and beyond the call of duty to make my dad's father's day special! His close attention to detail and his over communication between a handful of phone calls made me feel secure in the process! He stayed with me till the end, which means a lot now a days! Because of Joel, I have a better relationship with Lowe's! Thanks a ton and a two thumbs up to Joel!
So now our brand new fridge is damaged. I thought I couldn't be more disappointed in this store until this happened.
NEVER PURCHASING FROM LOWE'S IN SANTEE AGAIN UNLESS I CAN PHYSICALLY WALK OUT WITH MY ITEM.
Warning, do not purchase appliances from Santee Lowes. Sales reps sell you units not in stock and promise next day delivery. Delivery reps and managers do not communicate with you, leaving you waiting all day for a delivery that was not loaded on truck. Delivery company give you a delivery window that is made up. Went you call after delivery window passes, they tell you the store cancelled the order because the unit is not in stock referring you back to store. Delivery manager uses a mobile phone in the warehouse which you can not hear. Still no delivery, no response and no customer service. Delivery company says its stores fault, store delivery manager says its sales rep's fault. Sales says the delivery manager should have communicated with me about unit out of stock was never loaded on truck. Delivery company should have never provided a delivery window when they never loaded the unit on the truck and the order was cancelled by the store. Use other methods to purchase appliances and don't get suckered into Columbus Day sales with free delivery. Columbus is a liar, he didn't discover America, and so is Lowes. You have been warrned. This exact same thing happened to me last year with Lowes Santee, I should have listened to myself. Lesson learned, tell your family and friends.
Found customer service to be poor, although some better than home depot. Will probably return to shopping at dixieline to complete my kitchen project.
We stood in the appliance section for a good 45 minutes without anyone to greet us and ask if we needed any help. I then had to push the assistance button, and it still took 10 minutes for someone to come over (two employees were just standing at the end of the isle talking). We had a few questions about a refrigerator we wanted to buy and it was like pulling teeth to get the employee to see if there were any in stock. Comes to find out there is one in stock and we go through the purchase process and are told our fridge will be delivered the next day and we will receive a call the evening before to confirm a time.
EXCUSE ME?? I left work early to be there for a fridge that we were told was being delivered. AND NO ONE CALLED US TO TELL US OTHERWISE!
My husband stood in the store for over an hour talking back and forth with an employee, then finally a manager to get the situation figured out. They are going to get us the fridge we paid for from the mission valley store, and should be delivered in two day. But that's another day I have to take off work to be there.
We get the call, delivery was scheduled for the following day between 12 and 2.
UPDATE: The fridge never got delivered two days later... and when we called to see when it was going to be here the customer service person said they are too busy and we can come pick it up ourselves!
We ask for help loading the fridge into our truck and they tilted it up on the forklift and it slid back and smashed in the whole side of it!
We will never give lowes our business again.
My husband goes to the store after work, about 5pm, and they tell him they don't actually have that fridge in stock and it would have to be ordered if we want that model which would take 2 to 3 weeks.
Train your employees on Customer Service! Don't tell your customers something if it isn't accurate. Learn compassion and understanding, the employees just stand there and done care about anything.
These people need customer service training.
Absolutely the worst Customer Service I have ever experienced! From walking into the store through out the deliver process.
The store in general is 4 star but there was an employee named Calvin that helped me on Sunday that went above and beyond the call of duty. He helped me get the patio furniture off the shelf, found a flat bed to put it onto to wheel it to the cashier and then helped me to my car where I asked him to help me open the boxes and take the package apart into manageable size pieces for me to unload at my house. Five stars for Calvin.
